We recently received a commission to restore a significant silver pocket watch from 1936 by Rotherham & Sons complete with a suitably stunning desk display case. To complete the task – we enlisted the skills of Scottish cabinet makers Method Studio to create a completely unique box in locally sourced oak to match the owner’s writing desk.
As pocket watches are no longer the most practical timekeepers for daily use (for those not regularly wearing waistcoats…) it can be challenging finding was to keep them in regular use. We were delighted with the result and glad to find a way to return use to this sentimental piece!
