Developed for our first in-house movement, Project 248, and trialed in our first tailor-made pocket watch, The Carter, we’re pleased to introduce our new paracute shock setting!
After time and consideration, we decided the parachute was the best way to improve durability in watches that would otherwise have no shock resistance, with something we knew we could achieve in our workshops using our heritage tools and equipment. Invented by Abraham Louis Breguet in around 1790, we used an example in a watch made at the turn of the C19th to develop our C21st edition.
Complete with diamond end stone and gold setting; the parachute will be a feature for all our future Project 248 watches.
