Celebrating 235 years of their British Craftsmanship

To mark the company’s 235thanniversary, manufacturers of fine knitwear to the HM Queen Elizabeth II, John Smedley, invited ten alumni of the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust to collaborate with them to celebrate the best of British craftsmanship. From luthiers, to goldsmiths, ceramicists, bell founders and beekeepers, we are delighted to be joining such a talented group of inspirational British makers over the course of the next year for a series of films and events. We will also be working with John Smedley to design a special jumper fit for a watchmaker! Only three will ever be produced, one for us, another for their archive and the last will be auctioned to raise funds to support the next generation of master craftspeople at the next Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust Fundraising Gala Dinner in March 2020.

Over the next 12 months there will be programme of events with us and our fellow QEST Craft scholars. To can follow the latest updates, watch our short film, and find out more about John Smedley and the other craftspeople head to the Legacy section of their website here.
