Rebecca Struthers Awarded 2026 Honorary Fellowship by West Dean
We are delighted to share that Dr. Rebecca Struthers has been awarded a 2026 Honorary Fellowship by West Dean.
West Dean, which holds an international reputation for excellence in creative education, conservation, and making, presents these fellowships to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to fields central to the institution's purpose. Rebecca was recognised this year alongside fellow inductees Edward Bulmer, a leader in sustainable design and architectural history, and Professor Peter J. Gregory, a distinguished soil scientist and former Professor of Global Food Security.
She was also honoured to deliver an address to graduating students before the presentation of awards across diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within the School of Arts and School of Conservation.
Reflecting on the appointment, Rebecca noted:
"Watchmaking can be a very solitary career, making recognition of your work by the outside world an incredible honour. It’s a privilege to do a job I love, even more so when it’s a job that also allows me to inspire others to take up an interest in the world of horology. I’m excited to be able to continue this in collaboration with West Dean and help foster the next generation of brilliant horological talent."
Rebecca and Craig extend their warmest congratulations to her fellow 2026 inductees.
